I am a professional photographer based in Honolulu Hawaii and Austin Texas specializing in architectural photography.  I shoot on all of the Hawaiian Islands and all of Texas.  We are happy to travel to any location.

I grew up in the charming “up country” town of Waimea on the Big Island where I was lucky enough to attend a small private school called Parker School.  Parker’s small school setting where every student was known was an amazing place to learn math, English, science, etc.  The first half of the day was dedicated to academics and the seconds half of the day was dedicated to activities such as paddling outrigger canoes, lifesaving, horseback riding, and photography to name a few.  This is where I learned the fundamentals of photography and our instructor was former Honolulu Star-Bulletin Chief Photographer Warren Roll who happened to be my best friend’s dad!  After graduating with 15 other students, I went on to college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I took pictures for the School Newspaper Ka Leo.

Life took me in many directions after my college career and I wore a few different hats, my first “real” career was with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a stockbroker in downtown Honolulu.  My life then led me to a position with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Specialty Rep calling on Cardiologists in Dallas Texas. After the financial crisis in 2008, Pfizer downsized and this was the impetus to launch a career in photography in Hawaii, something I had set aside all those years.

To launch my career I attended the Texas School of Photography with intense instruction from some of the best photography minds in the business and then loaded up a U-Haul and headed back to my beloved home on the Big Island. My intention at first was to photograph Hawaii’s most amazing natural landscapes until one day a real estate friend asked if I photographed homes… Why yes I do! This was my launching pad going from “regular” homes, to photograph some of the World’s most compelling luxury properties. Constantly improving my skills led to winning the Real Estate Photographer of the Year in 2013 and several monthly contests.  Paying it forward all I learned, I volunteer my time monthly as a juror for the Photography For Real Estate Photography Contest.   And now going full circle, I am now an instructor at the Texas School of Photography!
